GENEPOP is a population genetics software package originally developed by Michel
Raymond and Francois Rousset,
at the Laboratiore de Genetique et Environment, Montpellier, France. The latest version of Genepop (4.7.x) is available from http://kimura.univ-montp2.fr/~rousset/Genepop.htm. Genepop 4.7 runs under Windows, and can also be compiled to run under Unix or Linux. It will compile on Mac OSX machines if you have the developer tools installed.
The current Genepop PC version is easier to use and has some additional analyses (compared to v3.4) plus the ability to run in Batch mode.
The web version is still available for teaching purposes and for those who, for some reason, cannot run Genepop on their local PC or Mac. The web version is currently limited to processing no more than 50 loci and/or 100 populations. Below
is the Genepop WWW menu with links to the data input and help pages. NB the web version currently implements Genepop 4.7.5.

A web interface is also provided for the LinkDos program
(P. Garnier-Gere and C. Dillmann. J. Heredity 83:239,1992) - now rewritten in C, providing a number of useful
computations including analysis of linkage disequilibrium.
Any problems or questions regarding the website implementation of Genepop should
be directed to
Dr. Ross Graham at Ross.Graham@curtin.edu.au,
or fill in an online bug report. Problems with the PC version of Genepop should be directed to Professor Francois Rousset (francois.rousset@umontpellier.fr).
We also have a guest book in which we encourage you to make an entry.
